Joana Varon, Coding Rights’s executive directress, participated of the Citizen Lab Summer Institute (CLSI), that this year happened at Toronto, Canada.

The Citizen Lab is a workshop for researchers and practitioners from academia, civil society, and the private sector who are working on Internet openness, security, and human rights. It brings together perspectives from a wide range of backgrounds across technical and social science disciplines.

There, Joana share with Pablo Aguilera a session to kick start a discussion about how women, queer, and non-binary populations get targeted with hate, censorship, and other forms of technology-enabled violence.
